In January 2025, the K2 students and teachers of HKP Kindergarten stepped out of the school gates to explore a nearby supermarket, turning an ordinary shopping trip into an extraordinary learning adventure. This activity aimed to guide children out of the classroom, allowing them to interact with fresh ingredients, experience real-life social scenarios, and develop essential shopping and social skills.
On the day of the activity, the children, led by their teachers, toured the supermarket in an orderly manner, observing product displays and labels with great curiosity. The colorful packaging, variety of goods, and busy staff sparked their interest, prompting lively discussions and enthusiastic questions. With the teachers' guidance, the children learned how to select ingredients, queue at the checkout, and communicate with store staff.
This visit not only provided the children with a joyful experience but also deepened their understanding of everyday shopping routines. It effectively fostered their independence, social adaptability, and life skills, creating a unique and memorable chapter in their growth journey.
