Before the performance, teachers and children in each class carefully selected their favorite picture books and carried out a series of learning activities based on their picture book stories, including reading, mathematics, art and other activities to explore their picture books. Teachers also worked with children to create a script based on the age characteristics of their children. Children were highly involved throughout the preparation including selecting characters, making props, and script recording. Therefore, our children understood the plot and the moral contained in the story deeply. They worked hard with their peers and tried to bring their stories to the stage creatively with their own class characteristics. On the day of the performance, our children performed their favorite stories with full devotion and confidence. The parents and teachers witnessed their children's efforts and improvement, so they expressed their pride and joy for their children with warm applause.
Our children had an unforgettable day with the joyful performance. This activity helps to improve children's language expression, music appreciation, stage performance and other abilities; thus, parents show their strong supports and affirmation about it.
