K3 Parent-child Story-Telling Competition

On April 26, 2024, our kindergarten held a Parent-Child Storytelling competition with K3 students and their parents, and the competition was full of excitement.

Many families actively participated in this competition. All participating children were able to stand on the stage confidently and work with their family members to perform their favorite stories in Mandarin or English; for example, "You Look Yummy", "The City Mouse and the Country Mouse", "The Crocodile & the Dentist", "The Three Little Pigs", "The Rainbow Flower", "Elephants Cannot Dance", and more. All participating families carefully prepared their story performance including discussing the content and moral in the story, designing the props and costumes, and practicing the movements or actions. Parents and children collaborated well and devoted themselves to the story, which made their storytelling performance wonderful. All contestants received warm applause and praise from the audience, and the whole auditorium was filled with joy.

This competition is also a high-level talent show for the children and the parents. All children present their thoughts and ideas bravely, and showcased their creativity and storytelling abilities with their parents. While enjoying the fun of reading together, this activity not only helps to improve creative thinking, public speaking and organizing skills, but also enhance the communication and relationship among the families, which brings families together.
