HKP celebrated the opening day of the 2024/2025 school year

On the morning of September 3, filled with joy and anticipation for the new semester, Hou Kong Premier School (HKP) celebrated the opening day of the 2024/2025 school year.

During the ceremony, Principal Niu addressed the audience, offering warm greetings and setting high expectations. She urged elementary students to cherish their time, work hard, embrace the value of labor, and cultivate gratitude, striving to become well-rounded individuals in moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic development. For secondary students, she encouraged them to embody the spirit of Olympic athletes—positivity, perseverance, solidarity, and a pursuit of excellence—as they contribute to the great renaissance of the Chinese nation.

Following the ceremony, student representatives shared their vibrant summer experiences and learning achievements, showcasing the positive spirit and comprehensive development of HKP students. Secondary school representatives also recounted their conversations with Olympic champions, expressing their determination to embody the Olympic spirit in their studies and daily lives.

Additionally, to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Mr. Peng Chao from the History Department delivered a lecture. He used detailed historical materials to guide teachers and students through that significant period, rekindling their patriotic passion and sense of historical mission while underscoring the value of peace and the importance of struggle.

After the opening ceremony, the Secondary Section held a meeting with the parents of new students, introducing them to the school's development, curriculum, and other essential information. This meeting established a platform for communication and cooperation between home and school.

As the new semester begins, it brings fresh hopes and dreams. HKP will continue to uphold its commitment to patriotism and bilingual education, along with its distinctive focus on arts education and Olympic awareness. We aim to create a unique and quality school environment, nurturing outstanding talents for the development of our homeland and Macao.
