K3 Vegetable Soup Cooking

Recently, with the launch of the theme of healthy eating in the Kindergarten, all K3 classes conducted vegetable soup cooking activities. Through this activity, the children learn about the food pyramid, understand that good health requires good diet; exercise and coordinated work and rest; and also learn some English vegetable songs.

In the early stage of the activity, the teachers and the children had an excited discussion. The children enthusiastically suggested bringing carrots, tomatoes, winter melons and other vegetables, and were full of expectations for making the vegetable soup. When each class is cooking the soup, the aroma in the corridor is so fragrant that it attracts people to stop. During the activities, the children learned about various types of vegetables through seeing, smelling, touching and tasting, and understood that vegetables are partners for healthy growth. Under the linkage between home and school, parents take their children to buy vegetables, and the teachers teach and guide. Children have a comprehensive understanding of the names and benefits of the vegetables, and develop the habit of eating vegetables.

This activity not only allows the children to gain health knowledge, but also allows them to learn to cooperate and share, experience the joy of labor, and start a journey on growing healthily through delicious food and joy.
