Making Music Parent-child Activity

On the evening of March 1, 2017, professors and interns at the University of Central Washington organized a “Making Music” parent-child activity for K1 parents to make musical instruments and sing songs in our school.

First of all, everyone learns the English name of the instruments and the sound of the instruments in the hall, and understands the tasks and methods of making the instruments. Then, grouped into a number of classrooms, under the guidance of the instructors, the parents and children use paper and other environmentally friendly materials to make drums, sand hammer, castanets, hand bells and other musical instruments. Finally, everyone gathered together in the hall. The children sang "If you're happy and you know it" with the parents, and played with the handmade instruments. Accompanied by music education expert Mr. Cory and his guitar, the hall was filled with joyful and beautiful songs.
